Travis High School alumna and current Trinity University softball player Emily Vaclavik was named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference spring student-athlete academic honor roll last week.
Vaclavik had her junior season cut short due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The former Tiger was still able to put in her work in the classroom.
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
Vaclavik was named the SCAC Hitter of the Week in February. She contributed to Trinity’s 3-1 record for the week. Vaclavik batted .733 (11-for-15) at the plate, scored five runs, drove in a pair of others, and stole two bases.
Vaclavik led the team in batting average (.383), slugging percentage (.400), on-base percentage (.464), runs scored (nine), hits (23), and stolen bases (six) for the 2020 season.
