The Clear Falls Lady Knights outscored George Ranch 7-5 in the overtime period to beat the Lady Longhorns, 52-50 Monday afternoon at GRHS.
Junior Alexis Clayborne dropped in four free throws in overtime, Samora Watson had a basket, and Josephine Adegbite added a free throw to help the Lady Knight outlast George Ranch.
George Ranch got a trey from Jaedyn Dunn and a basket from sophomore Savannah Velasquez in the extra frame.
Clear Falls High School moves to 9-2 on the season while the Lady Longhorns fall to 5-3.
George Ranch had two opportunities to win the game in regulation, but Junior Amillion Fowler converted only one of four free throws in separate chances at the line down the stretch and Clear Falls dribbled out the remaining time in the fourth quarter to push the game to overtime.
Adegbite led the Lady Knights scorers with 13 while Clayborne and Lauryn Small each added 10.
Velasquez finished with 17 points, Dunn had nine and Izzy Little contributed seven for Coach Shalesha Pierce’s team.
George Ranch travels to Clear Lake Tuesday in the final game before Thanksgiving. The Lady Longhorns host Katy Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.
