The Lady Rangers took the final step toward the postseason on Saturday with a win over Angleton, 25-19, 25-21, 25-23.

Cayla Anthony led the Lady Rangers with seven kills, no errors and 16 assists.

Terry 3 Willowridge 0

The Lady Rangers swept the Lady Eagles on the road Friday, 25-7, 25-20, 25-0.

The two wins set the Lady Rangers’ record at 10-4, currently in third place. Terry is one win ahead of Lamar Consolidated, who is at 9-5 in district.

Terry will travel to Lamar Consolidated on Tuesday in hopes of securing that third playoff seed.

Fulshear 3, Lamar Consolidated 0

The Chargers took care of business against the visiting Lady Mustangs on Saturday, 25-11, 25-7, 25-9.

Fulshear remains undefeated in District 24-5A play with a 15-0 mark while the Lady Mustangs dropped to 9-5.

The Chargers will have a bye on Tuesday while Lamar Consolidated seeks to improve its playoff seeding on Tuesday at home against Rosenberg rival Terry.

Lamar Consolidated trails Terry by one game but the Lady Mustangs already have a win against Terry under their belt.

Foster 3, Kempner 1

The Lady Falcons picked up a four-set road win over Kempner on Friday, 20-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-20.

Seniors Kiley Smink and Amariah Kendrick each had nine kills in the victory.

Senior Alexis Obialo added eight kills.

Sophomore Mackenzie Palmer had three aces while junior Elizabeth Waldrop had three blocks.

Palmer also led the team with 20 digs followed by junior Taylor Clark with 14.

Foster 3, Hightower 0

The Lady Falcons won in three sets, 25-15, 25-12, 25-19 over Hightower to improve to 12-2 in district play.

Sophomore Koryn Johnson and senior Kiley Smink each had seven kills in the win over the Lady Hurricanes.

Palmer added three aces while also recording 14 digs.

Clark led the team with 16 assists.

Foster will play at Willowridge on Tuesday.

George Ranch 3, Bush 0

The Longhorns made short work of Bush on Friday in a road victory, 25-18, 25-13, 25-9.

Senior Alexandria Tennon led the way in scoring with 11 kills. Junior Avery Shimaitis, senior Paris Donavan and junior Logan Lednicky each had five kills.

George Ranch recorded 10 aces including three from senior Caitlin Kurtz.

Shimaitis, Donavan, Lednicky and junior Allie Sczech each had two blocks.

Tennon also led the Longhorns in digs with 13 and Kurtz added 12.

Senior Elyssa Giries recorded 10 digs.

Tennon led George Ranch in a third category Friday with 11 assists. Kurtz added nine.

Tennon was also first in serve receptions with nine while junior Taylor Reeves recorded seven.

George Ranch (17-3, 11-1) will have their final home game on Tuesday against Clements on Tuesday.
