Needville 3, El Campo 1

The Lady Jays kept their place in the upper echelon of District 25-4A with a win at home Friday against El Campo, 24-26, 25-18, 26-24, 25-19.

Junior Maddy Hrncir had 12 kills followed by sophomore Ashley Fojtik with eight. Junior Mikayla Mikeska and sophomore Cayla Kozik each had six kills.

Hrncir also led the Jays in aces with six while junior Brianna Pena had three aces. Fojtik and junior Hatti Smith each had two aces.

Sophomore Yasmyn Ochoa had three blocks and Fojtik had two blocks.

The Needville Lady Jays had a staggering 126 digs in Friday’s match. Pena led the team with 40 digs followed by Edwards with 27 and Hrncir had 21.

Ellerbe had 21 assists and Smith added 14.

Pena had 21 receptions with Ellerbe and Edwards adding 14 each.

Needville (31-10, 8-1) will host Stafford on Tuesday.

Fulshear 3, Royal 0

The Chargers swept Royal on the road Friday, 25-4, 25-4, 25-9. Fulshear (35-3, 9-0) will travel to Sealy on Tuesday.

Foster 3, Willowridge 0

The Lady Falcons swept Willowridge on Friday night in Houston, 25-18, 25-13, 25-7.

Junior Alexi Obialo had nine kills followed by junior Kiley Smink with seven kills.

Obialo had two blocks. Junior Creery had eight digs followed by senior Kirsten Guerrero with six digs.

Senior Ashley Isbell had 17 assists and senior Briana Creery had seven assists.

Foster (24-16, 10-3) will host Manvel on Tuesday.

Terry 3, Angleton 0

The Lady Rangers kept pace in District 24-5A with a road sweep of Angleton Friday, 25-8, 25-19, 25-14.

Sophomore Raven Jordan had 10 kills followed by sophomore Jayden Garza and junior Logan Jordan with six kills each.

Senior Lexie Salinas had four aces and junior Sidney Hausler added three.

Raven Jordan had nine blocks followed by Garza had five blocks followed by sophomore Gloria Asabi with five blocks each.

Salinas had 13 digs followed by Hausler with eight. Logan Jordan had 12 assists and Garza had 10 assists. Salinas had 16 serve receptions.

Terry (22-19, 7-7) will next play Lamar Consolidated at home on Friday.

East Bernard 3, Brazos 0

The Brahmrettes took care of neighboring Brazos in three sets Friday in Wallis, 25-19, 25-17, 25-12.

East Bernard (30-12, 9-0) will return to District 24-3A action on Tuesday on the road against Tidehaven. Brazos (10-12, 7-2) will host Louise on Tuesday.

Dawson 3, George Ranch 0

The Longhorns lost a key district match to District 23-6A leader Pearland Dawson Friday night, 20-25, 12-25, 23-25.

Sophomore Logan Lednicky had 10 kills followed by sophomore Avery Shimaitis with nine.

Sophomore Allie Sczech had seven kills and junior Alexandra Tennon had six kills.

Junior Elyssa Giries had two aces.

Tennon had four blocks followed by Shimaitis with three blocks. Giries had 10 digs and Tennon had nine digs.

Tennon had 16 assists and junior Caitlin Kurtz had eight assists.

Junior Briana Steubing had 14 receptions, Shimaitiis had 13 receptions and Lednicky had 12 receptions.

George Ranch (27-17, 7-3) will face Alief Elsik at home on Tuesday.

Manvel 3, Lamar Consolidated 0

The Lady Mustangs lost to District 24-5A leader Manvel on the road Friday, 15-25, 16-25, 18-25.

Lamar Consolidated (20-19, 7-8) will host Angleton on Tuesday.
