Ridge Point 11, Travis 7
The Lady Tigers were able to give Ridge Point a run for its money in Missouri City on Tuesday. But the Lady Panthers built a 5-0 lead before winning 11-7.
The top of the Travis lineup, Mady Leighton and Caitlyn Goodeaux combined for six hits and thre runs scored. Noemi Cortez had two RBIs. Emily Camacho had two hits.
Rachel Ybarra allowed eight earned runs on 11 hits over six innings. She struck out three and walked six.
George Ranch 17, Alief Elsik 0
The Longhorns improved to 4-1 in District 23-6A play with a win Tuesday over Alief Elsik. Only Pearland is ahead of George Ranch in the standings at 4-0.
Angleton 10, Foster 0
There wasn’t any question who would be at the top of the District 24-5A standings with Angleton and Foster battling for the district crown once again. The Lady Wildcats drew first blood against Foster on Tuesday in Angleton with a 5-inning win.
Ciarra Mata had the Lady Falcons’ only hit in the loss as Foster racked up 12 strikeouts against Angleton pitcher Aaliyah Garcia.
Foster starting pitcher Amanda Allen allowed six runs (five earned) on four hits over 1 2/3 innings.
Fulshear 18, Royal 1
The Chargers racked up 16 hits and six walks in the win in Pattison on Tuesday.
Kendall Lippold led the Fulshear offense with two home runs, three runs scored and two RBIs.
Nicole Bodeux went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Lippold, Keely Castillo and Trinity Crawford each had three hits. Castillo had three RBIs.
Bodeux, Castillo and Crawford each had a triple.
Caitlin Smith pitched four innings, allowing one earned run on one hit while striking out five.
Needville 16, Stafford 1
The Lady Jays scored 10 runs in the first inning to run over Stafford at home Tuesday.
Cami Buell, Celeste Aguilar and Bradie Bruce each had two hits for Needville. Aguilar collected an inside-the-park home run and six RBIs.
Buell had three runs scored while Fayth Hoover and Karolyn Carter each had two RBIs.
Abby Cousins struck out the side in her one inning of work. Madi Kovar allowed one earned run on two hits over two innings in relief.
East Bernard 3, Van Vleck 1
Kaitlyn Sulak struck out 15 and held Van Vleck to one hit over seven innings in Tuesday’s District 24-3A contest at home. Sulak and Savannah Goudeau each had two hits for the Brahmrettes, Sulak scored two runs.
Taylor Bottoms and Savannah Goudeau each had an RBI.
