The Falcons opened the season with a hard-fought win on the road at Fort Bend Austin on Tuesday.
Foster took a 29-26 halftime lead, and expanded the lead to six after the third quarter. But the Bulldogs rallied with an 18-12 run in the fourth quarter – including two buckets in the last two minutes – to force overtime.
The Falcons hit a three-pointer to open the overtime and made three free throws in the extra period to get the win.
Foster (1-0) will next face Stafford on Tuesday at 2 p.m., while Austin (0-2) will face George Ranch on Monday at noon.
Cypress Creek 76, Travis 70
The Tigers played its second game of the season with a tough loss on the road to the Cougars on Tuesday.
Travis fell behind Cy Creek by nine in the first half, but cut the deficit to 35-28 at the half, and Travis pulled within three after the third quarter with a 26-point effort. But the Cougars held on and got the win.
Travis (1-1) will next face Cy-Fair at home on Monday at 1 p.m.
Travis 59, Lamar Cons. 40
The Lady Tigers got its first win of the season by beating the Lady Mustangs at home on Tuesday.
Travis moves to 1-2 on the season and will play in the Fort Bend ISD tournament beginning on Thursday.
Lamar falls to 2-4 on the season and will host Spring Woods on Friday at 5:15 p.m.
Memorial 73, Fulshear 53
The Lady Chargers couldn’t battle back and fell on the road to the Lady Mustangs on Tuesday.
Fulshear drops to 5-2 on the season, and will host Navasota on Friday at 6 p.m.
