The table has been set for the final summer games for the 2020 Fort Bend Baseball League.

Saturday’s games will have featured Austin facing Dulles in the Oyster Creek final (junior varsity/16-and-under) championship, Austin against Kempner for the Sweetwater championship (varsity/18-and-under) and George Ranch Maroon v.s. Bellaire Red in Lake Olympia (freshman) championship in the nightcap.

The Lake Olympia League featured 12 teams including teams from George Ranch, Foster, Travis, Kempner, Dulles, Bellaire, Elkins, Clements, Austin, Ridge Point and a mix of players from multiple Missouri City schools.

In the Lake Olympia standings, Bellaire Red (11-2), George Ranch Maroon (9-2-1) and Foster (9-2-1) were the top three seeds from the National League Conference.

Ridge Point Purple (9-1-1), Austin (8-3) and George Ranch Black (6-5-1) were the top three seeds for the American League Conference.

After division semifinals, Bellaire Red and George Ranch Maroon advanced to the gold game.

Ridge Point Purple and Austin will face off for the silver game and Foster faces George Ranch Black for the bronze.

The bronze and silver games will take place on Friday while all championship games will be the following day.

All games will be played at the Greater Sugar Land Pony Colt Field.

The following is game results from area Lake Olympia games:

George Ranch Black 17, Missouri City Red 1

The freshmen Longhorns ran roughshod over the team from Missouri City last month in a 17-1 victory.

George Ranch needed only nine hits to score 17 runs.

Johnny Padilla scored three times while going 1-for-1 with an RBI and two walks.

Cody Ford drove in two runs.

Ethan Bozeman and Chase Adams scored twice.

Ford, Carson Mixon, Carson Poss, Logan Watson and Kyle Giries each had an extra-base hit for the Longhorns.

Padilla had four stolen bases.

Logan Watson and Joe Hernandez combined to pitch three innings. The pair combined for three strikeouts and zero walks.

George Ranch Black 6, Clements 4

The freshmen Longhorns pulled out a 6-4 win over Clements at the end of July.

Logan Watson was 2-for-2 with a run scored.

Kyle Giries was 1-for-2 with a double, run scored and two RBIs.

Ethan Bozeman pitched allowed two hits and struck out one over 3 1/3 innings.

Foster 12, Travis 6

The freshman Falcons doubled up the team from across the way in Richmond last month.

Tanner Wilson was 2-for-2 for Foster.

Julio, Cooper Schwank and Duriell Quinn each had extra-base hits.

Quinn and Schwank combined for six runs batted in.

Christian Smink allowed one earned run on one hit over two relief innings. He struck out three and walked two.

Foster 12, Kempner 6

The freshman Falcons needed only seven hits to put 12 runs in a win over earlier in the FBBL season.

Chase Batten, Brock Callahan and Brady Watassek each had an extra-base hit for Foster.

Callahan was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and four RBIs.

Duriell Quinn and Brady Watassek each had two RBIs.

The Falcons had 12 stolen bases with Ridge Aventurado (two), Brock Callahan (three), Duriell Quinn (three) and Cooper Schwank (two) accounting for multiple.

Jackson McCarty started the game with two scoreless innings. He struck out two.

Ridge Aventurado recorded a scoreless inning in relief while striking out one.

Jared Burdette gave up one run on one hit while striking out three over two innings of work out of the bullpen.

George Ranch Maroon 1, Foster 0

The Freshman Longhorns got the better of the Falcons on Tuesday with a 1-0 victory.

The two teams combined for only five hits. A lead-off error and a pair of singles were enough for George Ranch in the second inning.

Foster got a hit from Duriell Quinn, Brock Callahan and Steven Godwin.

Cooper Schwank also collected a walk.

Schwank allowed one unearned run on two hits over two innings.

He struck out three and walked two.
