Round 2 here we come

The Brazos High School volleyball team for the second year in a row entered the playoffs as the District 27-2A champion.

For the second year in a row, the Cougarettes were also able to secure a win in the bi-district round.

Brazos defeated Kenedy in the Region IV-2A bi-district playoff match Tuesday in Hallettsville High School, 25-10, 25-6, 25-8.

Brazos will now face Granger in the area round.

Granger defeated Snook 3-2, 25-17, 16-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-9, to advance.

The winner of the Brazos-Granger contest will face against Flatonia or Thrall from the other side of the bracket in the regional quarterfinals.
