The Travis Tigers didn’t waste any time making history during the 2021-2022 season.

The Travis boys beat Bridgeland (54-52) and Alief Taylor (61-42), and Monday’s win over the Lions was Craig Brownson’s 400th career win as a head coach.

The Tigers have won a state championship (2013), five seasons over 30 wins and at least a share of six district titles under Brownson.

Travis (2-0) will travel to Cy-Falls on Friday.

A dominant fourth quarter from Foster led to an opening night victory Tuesday over Waller, 47-38.

Foster will be home against Clements Monday. The tipoff is at 2 p.m.
