Girls varsity

Foster 49, Angleton 46 (OT)

The Lady Falcons needed overtime to get a win against Angleton Tuesday night in Falcon Gym.

Foster sophomore guard Imani Ivery led scoring with 17 points. Sophomore Anaya Ervin had 11 points. Senior guard Sharlyne Dimalanta had eight points. Junior forward Alicia Blanton added seven while sophomore Sydney Freeman and junior Collins Clark added three points each.

Foster (7-3, 1-0) will next play in the LCISD Invitational hosted by George Ranch over the weekend.

George Ranch 37, Katy 32

The Longhorns picked up a home win against Katy on Tuesday night. Sophomore guard Savannah Velazquez led George Ranch with 12 points followed by senior Jaedyn Dunn with nine points. Senior Isabella Little added 10 rebounds.

George Ranch (7-3) will next play in the LCISD Invitational hosted by the Longhorns over the weekend.

Fulshear 53, Brenham 34

The Chargers picked up a win at home on Tuesday over 5A Brenham. Fulshear (7-2) will next play in the LCISD Invitational hosted by George Ranch over the weekend.

Boling 62, Needville 50

The Lady Jays lost a road game at Boling on Thursday. Needville was able to surge in the second quarter with 21 points but couldn’t close the gap against the Lady Bulldogs in the fourth, getting outscored 15-7.

Desteny Guillen had 12 points on six baskets.

Deisy Garza had 14 points on seven baskets. Treasure Ellerbe had 17 points including 4-of-5 from the free-throw line.

Needville (2-5) will next play in the Lady Cobra Classic over the weekend at Vanderbilt Industrial.

Boys varsity

Foster 73, St. Thomas Episcopal 67

The Falcons picked up a road victory in junior Reuben Fatheree II’s return to the lineup on Tuesday night.

Senior Jack Hardcastle led the Falcons with 19 points followed by Fatheree’s 16 and sophomore Chancellor White’s 15 points.

Foster (3-1) will next play in the LCISD Invitational hosted on the campus of Fulshear High School on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Booker T. Washington 62, Needville 52

The Blue Jays lost their first game of the 2019-20 season on Tuesday night in Blue Jay Gym.

James Roberts had 12 points for Needville. Nate Burleson added 11 points and eight rebounds. Josh Taylor had nine points and B.J. Glover added eight points, six assists and five steals.

Needville (0-1) will be back in action on Thursday, hosting the Leroy Miksch Tournament.
