On June 23rd, 2020, at approximately 9:43 a.m. the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 500 block of San Carlos, in the Rosenberg area, for a Burglary of Habitation.

When deputies arrived they discovered the suspect stabbed one of the homeowner’s dogs. The dog was taken to the Houston Humane Society for treatment and is expected to survive. No one was injured and no property was stolen.

Julian Olvera, 21, of Rosenberg has been booked into the Fort Bend County Jail. Olvera is charged with Burglary of Habitation, a first-degree felony with a $20,000 bond. He’s also been charged with Cruelty to Animals, a third-degree felony with a $15,000 bond.

“Thanks to our detective’s swift work this individual was taken into custody quickly,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “Our community’s safety is our top priority.”
