We need to acknowledge the accomplishments of the previous city of Richmond administration and especially the mayor, city manager and engineering that were responsible for our water supply.

I am an old person and have lived here in Richmond since 1965. When several years ago the city announced that they were going to spend millions of dollars to up-date and convert our water supply in response to a subsidence study, I was certainly not in favor.

But as a result of the new system, we are certainly reaping the benefits of it now, as there are hundreds of towns and cities with boil-water warnings in Texas as a result of the recent freezing weather.

So, thank you, Mayor Evelyn Moore, City Manager Teri Vela and her team, you did a great job.
