I was truly dismayed to see that Troy Nehls voted to not refer Steve Bannon to the Department of Justice for contempt of Congress for Bannon’s refusal to comply with the subpoena issued commanding him to produce documents and appear to testify.

I am so sorry that Nehls once again found himself on the wrong side of history. I feel sorry for him.

He will have to tell his children and wife that he did not have the courage to do the true and right thing because he was too afraid that Donald Trump might say something bad about him.

I’m sorry that he doesn’t believe Congress is a co-equal branch of government and voted to neuter Congress’ ability to enforce its own power of the subpoena.

I’m really wondering who exactly Nehls thinks he is serving and representing, because he is certainly not representing his constituents in TX-22 and is certainly not following his sworn oath to protect and defend our Constitution.

Nehls can trust that his voting record will be a source of public discourse as we approach the 2022 election.

Nehls’ fealty to the Traitor Trump will be a shame he will carry for the rest of his life and I can only pray that the good people of District 22 see him for what he is — a fraud and a con-man, just like Trump. Please start doing the right thing.
