William Cook

Bill Cook passed away at the age of 87 on December 29,2020 at Tuscany Village Nursing home in Pearland Texas.

Bill was born in 1933 in Baytown, Texas to parents Joshua and Dora Cook.

He grew up in Houston and later moved to Needville Texas where he graduated from Needville Highschool in 1951.Bill married Ouida Carolyn Dean in 1954 in Rosenberg Texas.

They moved to Pearland in 1959 where they raised five children and cared for several foster kids. He worked at Pearland Lumber for 42 years.

After he retired, he got his real estate license.

Bill was a member of the Lions Club for over 50 years and enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, bowling, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joshua and Dora and his loving and devoted wife of 55 years Quida.

Bill Is survived by his sister, Virginia Marie Cook, and his children Gordon Cook and wife Sharon, Leslie Cook and wife Mary, Karen Cook, Dean Cook and wife Nell, and Gary Cook and his wife Jamie.

He has nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend many heartfelt thanks to Bill’s co-workers, customers, and his many friends. We would also like to give special thanks to the staff at Tuscany Village for taking such great care of him while he stayed there.

The visitation will be held at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland on 01/06/2021 from 9 am until 11 am with the service following immediately afterward. The graveside service will be held the same day at 2 pm at the Immanuel Evangelical Church Cemetery on 14900 FM 1236 in Needville, Tx.

Donald Lloyd Dunstan Jr. was born May 13th, 1958 and passed away January 1st, 2021. Don graduated from High School in 1976 in San Diego. Don then chose to serve his county and enlisted in the U.S Army where he served honorably.

Don was a loving father to his children, a great grandfather to his grandkids, and a fantastic friend to those who knew him. He was always quick with a joke to brighten your day. Don always went out of his way to help his children and his friends. Don was deeply loved in life and will be greatly missed, to know him was to love him.

Don is survived by his father Donald Dunstan Sr. and his sister Denise Dunstan. He is also survived by his four children Lacy LeBlanc, Cody Dunstan, Courtney Roberts and Brandy Abshire. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Colton LeBlanc, Cannan LeBlanc and Cooper LeBlanc.

A memorial will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, Jan. 7, at Garmany & Carden Chapel, 1201 4th St. Rosenberg.

Memorials may be made in Dunstan’s name to the American Heart Association.

Shirley Jean Oberhoff Nordt was born in Houston, Texas January 28, 1955, and went to be with her Lord on December 29th 2020.

Shirley was the fourth child born to Albin and Ruby Lee Oberhoff.

Shirley graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Houston.

Shirley married the love of her life, Marvin L (Buddy) Nordt on June 17, 1979. They have two sons; Travis and Taylor. Her greatest joy was her family and the addition of Megan, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren Noah and Hollye made them complete. As a family they loved camping and hunting together. Shirley was active in her church and enjoyed working for Beasley Elementary for 18 years.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Marvin L (Buddy) Nordt, sons, Travis and wife, Megan, and Taylor Nordt; grandchildren Noah and Hollye Nordt; mother Ruby Lee Oberhoff;

brothers Ray Oberhoff and wife, Cheri of Needville, Donald Oberhoff and wife, Elizabeth (Libby) of Georgetown, and sister, Judy Oberhoff Gajeske and husband, Larry of Fredericksburg; Brother-in-law, Billy Nordt and wife, Linda of Rosenberg, TX, lifelong best friends Becky and Randy Meeks of Rosenberg, Sister-in-law, Marion Nordt Jozwiak and husband, Don of Rosenberg. Nieces and nephews: Dale Oberhoff, Kimberly Gajeske Pounds, Dena Oberhoff Dick, Dr. Scott Oberhoff, Mark Oberhoff, Beth Oberhoff Lueckemeyer, Josh Nordt, and Will Nordt.

She is preceded in death by father Albin Oberhoff, In laws William H and Viola Nordt, and Goddaughter Hollye K Meeks.

Visitation will be 4-5 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 7615 FM 762, Richmond, TX 77469. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:15 PM.
