Warren Walker Mercer

September 10, 1940-September 25, 2019

Warren Walker Mercer was a native Texan and Fort Bend County resident. He graduated high school from Lamar, started his career with Layne Texas drilling water wells around the country and ended it as a machinist with Gulf States Tube/Vision Metals. He worked hard, loved his family and had a tender heart. He loved to fish, work in the yard and invent things. Warren passed away peacefully after a long battle with declining health issues.

Mr. Mercer is survived by his wife Alice Lynn; daughter LaVonda Lynn Rosenbaum and her husband Robert Rosenbaum III; daughter Sandy Sue Mercer; daughter Kandi Kai Laney and husband Jeff Garcia; grandchildren Lauren Jurek and husband Justin Jurek, Haley Hafer and husband Brett Hafer, Barron Laney, Joshua Rosenbaum, Clayton DeShazo, Colton Laney, Chloe DeShazo, Savanna Laney and Crisana DeShazo; and great grandchildren Jackston Jurek, Autumn Jurek, Camber Hafer, Melody Estes and Allie Hafer.

Warren is predeceased by his great grandson Jace Jurek; his father and mother Charlie and Adelaide Mercer; and his sister Louise.

Deceased’s funeral arrangements: A Celebration of Life has not yet been set but an intimate memorial for the family is planned for October 10, 2019 which would have been Mr. Mercer’s 60th wedding anniversary with his wife Alice.
