Susie D. Montes

Susie D. Montes, 91. Went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 2, 2021 in Rosenberg. Susie was born in Rosenberg to Manuel V. and Maria G. Duran. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe catholic school at a young age in Rosenberg. Soon thereafter, she departed from her education to assist the family with farming in the Fort Bend County area. She remained faithful to her Catholic faith and rosary until the day she gained her wings.

Those left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Vivian Duran, Aurora Duran, Lucy D. Hernandez and Eusebia Duran, her brothers, Selestino Duran and Max Duran Sr. and wife, Guadalupe, sisters-in-law, Ester Duran and Martha Duran along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Salomon P. Montes, her parents, brothers; Eligio “Lee” Duran, Nicasio “Nick” Duran, Felix G. Duran and Pete G. Duran.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Susie’s medical team, caretaker, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. Monday until service time.
