Roy Hernandez Alaniz

April 14, 1969 – May 3, 2021

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Roy Hernandez Alaniz, age 52, a life-long resident of Houston, Texas, our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend died unexpectedly on May 3, 2021 at his home.

Roy will be missed by his Father, Bert Alaniz, his Mother, Yolanda Alaniz, his Brothers, Ronald Lee Alaniz and wife Madeline, and Marc Anthony Alaniz, Nephews, Ronnie, Ryan, and Marc Andrew Alaniz, Great niece, Zoe Alaniz and Great Nephews, Levi and Ryan Luis Alaniz, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many great friends. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Rojelia and Pedro G. Ramirez and Antonia Tamez Alaniz.

Roy was born in Richmond, Texas on April 14, 1969. He graduated in 1987 from Stafford High School in Stafford, Texas. He followed in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in Commercial Air Conditioning Systems.

He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He loved and treasured his beloved bulldog, Sadie. Football and the love of sports was another passion of his. Roy found enjoyment in simply hanging out with friends and family. He will be remembered for his compassion for all. Roy never met a stranger; he was a friend to everyone. He brought joy and throughout his life helped many. He loved his two brothers whole-heartedly and unconditionally.

Those who knew Roy, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, May 14, 2021 at Caballero Ryder Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas from 2-5 PM. Mask will be required due to Covid 19.
