Reynaldo V. Macias, 91, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Reynaldo, known as “Ray” by his family and friends, was born in Richmond, Texas on October 28, 1929. After a childhood upbringing on his family’s ranch in Simonton, he worked for many years in the landscaping and construction business. Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather with many creative talents. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time outdoors at home tending to his flowers. He took great pride in his lawn, having won “Yard of the Month” several times in the city of Rosenberg. He was always eager to help with or design new projects and assisted in the construction of several award-winning floats in the Fort Bend County Parade, which he looked forward to attending every year with his family. He loved everything there is about rodeo and cowboys...cowboy boots, buckles, and hats, and enjoyed watching rodeos, especially bull riding. Ray was also an avid Astros fan. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Consuelo V. Macias of Simonton; brothers, Roberto, Lupe, Elias Sr., and Antonio Macias; sisters, Maria Macias Carranza and Marcella Macias Sandoval.
