Olivia D. Torres

Olivia D. Torres, 86, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away on May 30, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Olivia was born on September 27, 1934 in Pleak, Texas.

Olivia enjoyed reading romance novels, cooking, and baking for her family. Olivia was known for cooking Mexican rice and turkey mole for every Thanksgiving meal. In addition to her cooking, she loved to bake cakes and pies for her family. In 2000, she retired from Weiner’s Department Store after many years of working in retail. Prior to Weiner’s, she worked at Woolworth until the store closed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughter, Elvia Hinojosa and husband Joe, son Paul Albert, and daughter Molley Sanchez and husband Joelouis; grandchildren Bianca Hinojosa, Andrea Villafranca and husband Marcus, Andrew Cordova, Illiana Hinojosa and fiancé Patrick Parker, and Laura Torres and fiancé Andrew Cardoza; great-grandchildren Jacob, Michael, Mason, Isabella Rose, Alexander, Nathaniel Paul, and soon to arrive Baby Boy Cardoza.

Olivia is preceded in death by her husband, Pablo V. Torres, her parents Pedro and Luisa Dominguez, her sisters, Ofilia Munoz, Ofelia Martinez, and Eva Velasquez.

She is survived by her siblings, Luisa Ortiz, Petra Meyers, Pedro Armando Dominguez, and Edilia Norris.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2021 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Visitation will preceded the service starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
