Laurence “Larry” Lopez

Laurence “Larry” Lopez passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on April 9, 2019. He was born in Houston, Texas, on February 3, 1951, to Francis S. and Josephine Lopez.

He is preceded in death by his father Francis S. Lopez; his loving dog “Cookie”; his father in law John Anders, Sr.; his sister in law Deborah Anders.

He is survived by his loving wife Monica Lopez; his mother Josephine Lopez; his sons Jason Laurence Lopez and wife Diana, James Karl Lopez and wife Kristen; his grandchildren Eliana and Aaron Lopez; his brothers Frank Lopez and wife Lola, Edward Lopez and wife Sarah, Ted Lopez and wife Clare, John Lopez and wife Marina; his sister Mary Watson and husband Mark; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.

After retiring from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office after 35 years Larry enjoyed traveling and site seeing with his loving wife. His true passion was spending time with his sons and their wives along with his grandchildren.

Funeral Service for Laurence “Larry” Lopez will be held Tuesday April 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1416 George St. in Rosenberg, Texas. Burial will follow at St. Michaels Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Needville, Texas.

Visitation will be held Monday April 15, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Deacon Brick Hodge officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you consider making a donation to The 100th Club of Houston.
