Joel L. Fritsch, Sr.

Joel L. Fritsch, Sr., 67, of Rosenberg, Texas, passed away on October 14, 2020. He was born on December 12, 1952 in Onslow County, North Carolina to Joe Tastius Fritsch and Rosemary Delores Lindemann Fritsch. Joel was a Lamar High School Graduate – Class of 71. He was employed with W.A. Parish from 1977 until his health began to fail him in 2004. Joel honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. He will truly be missed.

Joel is preceded in death by his father, Joe Fritsch; father-in-law, John C. Bohac, Sr; and special family friend and Father figure, “Pappa Pete Lolley”.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley; mother, Rosemary; mother-in-law, Angelina Bohac; children, Rachel Hernandez (Steve), Sandra; and Joel (Janie); sisters, Sheryl DuBose (Terrell), Michelle Puckett, and Reva Dorough (Scott); grandsons, Blaine Janise, Zackary Hernandez, Steven Hernandez, Trenton Hewitt and Aiden Daughtery; close family friend Joyce “Momma” Lolley; along with extended family, his “Buds” from W.A. Parish, and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. (Limited to no more than 100 people at a time).

The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 410 Clay Street, Richmond, Texas with Fr. Jesse Garcia officiating. (Limited to no more than 200 people at a time).

Interment with military honors to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
