Jacinto G. Trevino

Mr. Jacinto G. Trevino, 68, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019 with his loving family by his side. A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and dear friend to many who have known him throughout his life.

He was born in Rosenberg, TX, on August 25, 1950, and met the love of his life, Josefa, in Junior High. They married on June 21, 1969 and recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Jacinto was a jack of all trades and worked in many fields until he later in life began a career with Corpus Christi ISD as a Mathematics teacher at Mary Carroll High School. He retired as a Guidance Counselor from Richard King High School. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church as well as a long- time member of Schoenstatt.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Cantu Trevino and Dolores Gonzalez Trevino, sister, Dolores Medina (Carlos Medina, deceased), two baby brothers, Father-in-law, Elias Moreno, Brother-in-law, Lee Ruiz, and grandson, Mathias A. Trevino.

He is survived by his wife, Josefa, of 50 blessed years; sons Jacinto Jr. (Elena & their children Brisa & Miliani), Kevin (Kelli & children Caleb, Olivia, & Isabella), Bartholomew (Maria & children Raquel, Pamela, & Camilo), Matthew (Melissa & children Mateo & Marco), and Christopher (Erica & children Christopher Jr. & Elise). He leaves his brothers, Ben and Jorge (Emily), Sister, Senaida Garcia (Santiago), his Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in law: Elias and Faye Moreno, Lidia Ruiz, Virginia and Dennis Lockner, Luis and Carol Moreno, Rachel and Chunk Friesma , David and Pam Moreno, Rudy and Diana Moreno and Delmie and Todd Meurer, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Public visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 14, at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel “A” with the Vigil & Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 15, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2045 18th St.

Mr. Trevino will be laid to rest at San Gabriel Cemetery in Rosenberg, TX, on Saturday (time pending). In lieu of flowers the family ask to consider donations in the name of Jacinto G. Trevino to any of the following charitable organizations: Easter Seals, Ronald McDonald House, American Heart Association, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and American Diabetes Association.
