Guadalupe Veliz Arredondo

Funeral Service for Guadalupe Veliz Arredondo 89, of Rosenberg was held Monday December 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1600 Avenue D in Rosenberg.

Burial will follow at San Gabriel Cemetery Annex.

Visitation was held Sunday December 1, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hernandez Funeral Home 800 Fourth Street in Rosenberg. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Enrique Avila officiating.

Mr. Arredondo was born February 28, 1930 in El Tanque Parras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and he passed away November 29, 2019 in Richmond, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents Eugenio and Guadalupe Arredondo; his sons Jose Guadalupe Arredondo, Guadalupe Arredondo, Jr., Derly Arredondo, Jose Rangel Arredondo and Ociel Arredondo; his brother Ruben Arredondo; his sister Olivia Gonzalez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Amelia D. Arredondo; his children Heriberto Arredondo, Elizabeth (Ernesto) Lopez, Jr., Irasema Tornedo, Martha Beatriz (Jorge) Villanueva, America (Gavino) Arizmendi, Guadalupe Arredondo, Jr.; along with 22 grandchildren, 8 great children, 2 great, great grandchildren; his brothers Adrian (Teresa) Arredondo, Simon (Consuelo) Arredondo; his sisters Florinda Gonzalez and Nieves Castillo; as well as other loving family members and friends.
