Our Beautiful Beloved Mother, Guadalupe Santos Galvan Gutierrez was born in Elgin,Texas on Dec. 12, 1929, a day that celebrates and honors The Virgin of Guadalupe.
On Divine Mercy Sunday, April 11, 2021, Mom passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side, where God brought her to her final resting place in Heaven at the age of 91 years.
Mom is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Frank Perez Gutierrez, her son, Rudy Galvan Gutierrez, her grandson, Russel Anthony Guerrero, parents, Manuela Sandoval Santos Galvan and Federico Perez Galvan. She is also proceeded in death by her brothers, Gilberto Galvan, Clemente Galvan, and Juan Galvan, sisters Eulogia Galvan Carranza and Pauline Galvan Garcia.
She is survived by her children, Lillie G. Ramirez, Margie G. Richardson, Rosie G. Guerrero and husband Billy Guererro Jr., Frank G. Gutierrez, Jr. and wife Sandy Gutierrez, Fred G. Gutierrez and Teresa G. Castillo and husband David Castillo. She also has two Grandsons who helped care for her, Matthew A. Castillo and Gabriel G. Guerrero. Her sisters Maria Galvan Rodriguez and Margie Galvan Figueroa of Houston, Texas.
Mom left behind 14 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 19 Great, Great Grandchildren.
Mom lived her entire life with “Amazing Grace” and lovingly gave of herself to her family, friends and acquaintances.
Her zest of life is exemplified by the fact that she was always nurturing, loving and giving of her time and knowledge.
She was truly an amazing, phenomenal and remarkable Beacon of God’s Light that inspired her children daily by her relentless gifts of compassion, loyalty, honor & integrity and unconditional love.
Through her selfless love, she taught us by example what it means to live a faith-driven life of love, kindness and respect for one another.
Her Funeral Services are Monday, April 19, 2021 with a Visitation at 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, a Rosary at 10:30 AM at the Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home, 722 Grillo Way, Rosenberg, TX. 77471. This will be followed by a mass service at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1600 Avenue D, Rosenberg, TX.
Immediately following the mass service she will be taken to her final resting place at the W.O.W. Rosenberg City Cemetery on Avenue D, Rosenberg, Texas, where she will be buried next to her husband, Frank P. Gutierrez.
