Guadalupe Alonzo Torres

Guadalupe is the last child of the Alonzo/Torres.

He had the highest honor of being called Dad and Grandpa, often by all his girls.

He was born in Richmond, Texas on December 11, 1939. He resided in Rosenberg, Texas most of his life.

He was granted his angel wings on November 21, 2021.

Lupe was a man of many titles, but his favorites were “Hon” and “Dad.” He was a family-oriented man who put up a strong fight until the very end.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estanislado Torres and Francisca Alonzo Torres; Daughter, Theresa Ann Torres; Brothers, Francisco (Frank) Alonzo Torres, Pedro (Pete) Alonzo Torres, Carlos Alonzo Torres, Juan (Johnny) Alonzo Torres, Hilario (Larry) Alonzo Torres and sister-in-law Mary Lou Rodriguez Torres, Antonio (Tony) Alonzo Torres and sister-in-law Estela Serrato Torres, Miguel (Mike) Alonzo Torres and sister-in-law Ramona Noriega Torres and Felipe Alonzo Torres and sister-in-law Jean Smith Torres; Sisters, Patsy Ann Cortez and Jesusa (Susie) Torres Garza and brother-in-law Eugenio (Hijinio) Moreno Garza.

Lupe is survived by his loving wife of 60 Years, Rosie Tijerina Torres: Daughter, Mary Frances Torres; Granddaughters, Beatrice Ann Torres, Monica Renee Torres with Significant other Queznual (Quez) Donyea Goins and Jessica Lynn Espinosa; Great Granddaughters, Theresa Ann Killam and Angela Carisa Killam; Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Lupe retired from Sears after twenty-five years. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, more golfing and being outdoors for more golfing. But mostly enjoyed being with family, surrounded by his girls.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Davis-Greenlawn at 3900 B F Terry Blvd. Rosenberg, Texas. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Church services and interment will on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
