A Graveside Service for Gloria Barina Long will be 11 AM Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Restwood Memorial Park, 1038 W. Plantation Drive, Clute, TX 77531.

Gloria Long went home to her Savior on August 9,2019 in her own home with her true loves Bonnie and Clyde at her side. She was born 11/16/1945 in Freeport, TX, second child to William H. and Doris Barina. She is preceded in death by

daughter Patricia Ann, husband Don Long, parents, W.H. and Doris Barina, brother John F. Barina, and grandparents Belle & Ed Kuykendall and Francis & Joe F. Barina.

Gloria graduated from Needville High School and went on to work as a secretary for several insurance companies in El Campo, West Columbia, and Richmond, TX. She lived in Arkanasas and Texas

at various periods of her life. She loved to read, sew, crochet, but her main loves were Bonnie and Clyde. She loved living in the country on the old home place, which made her feel safe and secure but mostly close to her


Her first love Harold (Red) who wrote poetry about her which filled her life with undying love, and he often sang to her. Gloria’s life was filled with working hard and helping other.She was a take charge kind of person, which was evident if you knew her or

ever met her. She would tell you how, what, and when to do it.

She is survived by sisters Sherry Barina, Betty Gryder, and Willy Ann McClain; one brother Allen Wayne Barina; nephews Steve Gryder, Curt Gryder (wife Juanita), and Richard Valicek (wife Jessie); niece Joanna Gryder; grandnieces Samantha, Katie, Felicity; and grand nephew Josh.
