George Abschneider

George Mike Abschneider, 87, of Rosenberg, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2020 in Richmond, Texas. He was born on September 29, 1932 in Rosenberg, Texas to Vincent and Andela (Matlock) Abschneider. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. His hobbies included fishing and working on various projects around the house. He retired from Texas Department of Transportation after 45+ years of employment. He will truly be missed.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ann Abschneider; granddaughter, Angela Marie Springer; and siblings, Jeanette Barnes, Joe Abschneider, Jim Abschneider, Frances Brauer and Agnes Jurek.

Survivors include his son, Vernon Abschneider; brother, Charles Abschneider and his wife, Helen; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2020 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. George will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
