Felix Valdez Guerrero was born in 1938 in Elsa, Texas (which is near McAllen and Harlingen in South Texas) to Juan Francisco Guerrero and Francisca Garcia Valdez. He is preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, and his wife Lillie Ramos Guerrero. He is survived by his sister Vitalia Claussen, his brother Johnny Guerrero and his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.
Felix married Lillie Ramos in 1959, first living in Richmond near many of her sisters. They ultimately bought their dream home in Rosenberg. Together they raised 6 kids- Racheal Ponce (Sammy), Rudy Ponce, Randy Ponce (Tracy), Eugene Guerrero (Viola), Elsa Guerrero Cortez (Willie and Felicia Guerrero. He cherished 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren as well as other loving family members and friends.
As a father, he was a very gentle soul, rarely raising his voice. As a provider, he was an extremely hard worker and was an inspiration to his children. He was a welder by trade and worked at the WKM Foundry Plant until his retirement. He also had a successful landscaping business. He enjoyed Spanish music and going to dances with this wife and friends. He loved working on his yard and was proud of his work. He also enjoyed his many grandkids and was called PoPo by some. He never had an unkind word to say. We will miss his sweet, kind spirit.
His children would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Memorial Oaks and Hospice Plus for all the love and care they gave Mr. Felix Guerrero.
