Felipe M. Castaneda, 71, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away on May 19, 2019 at the V.A. Hospital in Houston. He was born on August 24, 1947 in Karnes City, Texas to Merce and Nicolasa Castaneda. Felipe honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg. This loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend will be missed.

In addition to his parents, Felipe is preceded in death by his sister, Elva Castaneda and his great grandson, Israel Vega Arriaga.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Clemencia (Chris) Castaneda; children, Rosemary Gonzales, Fernando Gonzales and wife, Anna, Leticia Arriaga, and Steven Castaneda and wife, Rose; siblings, Raymond Castaneda and wife, Sylvia and Inez Ramirez; grandchildren, Jennifer Salcido and husband, Rosendo, John Palacios, Pete Arriaga Jr., Eric Arriaga, Ashley Vazquez and husband, Francisco, Kathryn Gonzales, Lauren Gonzales, Jacob Smith, Jr., Vallerie Vasquez and Alyssa Castaneda; great grandchildren, Landon, Emma, Liliana, Sean, Elena and Ashton; along with extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with rosary at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2019 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

The funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with burial & military honors at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
