Dolores Milda Caroline Tielke Blaylock, 91, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, August 3, 2019.
She was born on December 25, 1927, in Needville, Texas, the only daughter to Erich and Anna Tielke and had fond memories of her childhood.
She graduated from Richmond High School in 1945.
In 1959, she moved with her husband to Houston, Texas, to begin a career with Coach Mortgage Company.
She returned to Needville in 1976 to live closer to her mother and built houses for each of them on adjacent lots.
She continued to work with the same company which later dissolved, evolving into American Spectrum Reality from which she retired in 2015 at the age of 87.
Her career was one of her greatest joys, loving her co-workers like family.
Dolores spent her final years making memories with her daughter and grandchildren, traveling often to take pictures of God’s Creation and places of interest.
She enjoyed playing Ingress with her daughter and gaming friends and had a love for angels, sweet things, and yellow roses. She was preceded in death by her parents Erich and Anna Tielke, first husband Alvin Lee Kolar, father of her children Sammie Lynn Law, beloved husband Billy Aaron Blaylock and son Jay Dee Law.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Samilyn Law Armstrong; grandchildren: David Armstrong and wife Bobbie, Daniel Armstrong, Deanna Hert and husband Darrin, Dori Wright and husband Colton, Janna Ruiz and husband Omar, Deborah Blacklock and husband KC, Dawn Cook and husband Ryan; great grandchildren: Lillie and Jack Armstrong, Elizabeth and Connor Wright, and Liam, Logan, and Lucas Ruiz.
A celebration of life service will be held at Creekside Christian Fellowship, 16628 TX-36, Needville, Texas, Saturday, August 10, at 10:30AM.
A potluck luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be given in her memory to her home church, Creekside Christian Fellowship.
