Dennis went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2021. Dennis was born on September 11, 1957, to Bennie and Gertrude Holder. After graduating from Needville High School in 1976 he continued his education and graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University.
Dennis had many hobbies and was always a supporter of the hometown team. On Friday nights, he could often be found in the stands supporting the Needville Blue Jay football team with his family. Of all the games he watched, he favorites were those watching his son and now his grandson out on the field and his daughter and niece during their time in the marching band. Dennis had a passion for music and always brought the party during his time as a DJ. If you knew Dennis, you knew he never met a stranger and was always the friendliest guy in the room.
Above all, Dennis was a family man. He was married to Helen, the love of his life, for 32 years. His best times were those spent with family while fishing at the coast, watching a sporting event, or having dinner at his favorite restaurants.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter, Brandi Mueck and husband Nathan; son, Jim Wilson and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Bryan and Hailey Mueck; sisters-in-law, Kathy Vavrecka, Susan Dierks and husband Robert; brothers-in-law, Frank Vavrecka and wife Jill, Robert Vavrecka and wife Linda; along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Iona Krobot; and in-laws, Jonnie and Lucille Vavrecka.
