Daniel D. Zdunkewicz

Daniel D. Zdunkewicz, 87, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away on May 21, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on December 2, 1932 in Rosenberg, Texas to Louis and Rosie Krolczyk Zdunkewicz. Dan honorably served our country in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #271. He was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg where he was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus Member. He enjoyed overseeing the Friday Fish Fries where he was honored with a plaque reading “Dan’s Kitchen”. Dan was employed with the Post Office from 1956 – 1990.His hobbies included fishing, farming and taking trips to Louisiana to test his luck. This loving husband, father, Papa, brother and friend will be missed.

In addition to his parents, Dan is preceded in death by his brothers, Sylvester and Tommy Zdunkewicz and sister, Dorothy Bennett.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria; son, Randall Zdunkewicz (wife Judy), Jana Kuzniar (husband JR), Stephen Zdunkewicz, and Carlen Bibb (husband Craig); brother, Victor Zdunkewicz (wife Mary Rose), grandchildren, Chet Zdunkewicz (wife Robin), Jason Zdunkewicz (wife Casey), Christopher Kuzniar (wife Rachel), Kirstyn Moeckel (husband Ryan), Taylor Zdunkewicz, and Tanner Bibb; great grandchildren, Brenner, Brazos and Rylee; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dan was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his 4th great grandchild, Everly Kuzniar.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral mass at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Fr. Orrin Halepeska and Deacon Brick Hodge officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church “Investing In Our Future” or to the American Cancer Society.
