Funeral Services for Barbara Ann Meyer of Rosenberg, TX, are set for 10 AM Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Garmany and Carden Funeral Home, 1201 4th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with burial following at Cottonwood Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Visitation will be 5 — 7 PM Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Garmany and Carden Funeral Home, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Barbara Ann Meyer, age 87, went to heaven on October 4, 2019. Barbara was born on September 29, 1932 in Rosenberg, TX, to Frank Freudensprung and Freda Scharschmidt Freudensprung.

On July 30, 1950, she married Raymond “Pete” Meyer, and they lived on their farm together for 69 years.

Together they farmed, and she baked birthday and wedding cakes with pride and joy.

Barbara’s artistic abilities included painting, sewing, and baking. Together they would deliver home baked goodies to friends and business associates.

Barbara adored her family and loved the Lord.

Her famous words were always, “It’s just right there!”

Preceding her in death are her parents Frank and Freda Freudensprung; brother, Bill Freudensprung; her guardians, Uncle Emil and Aunt Lillie Dusek; and sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Walter Stehle.

Barbara is survived by husband Raymond Meyer; 2 children: son Donald “Donnie” Ray Meyer and wife Janet of Rosenberg, daughter Laurie Meyer and husband Carl Mitchell of Needville; 2 grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Grannie”: Candacy Meyer Hoover and husband Trey Hoover of Needville, Raymond “Bud” Meyer and Kayla of Rosenberg; great grandaughters Fayth and Braelyn Hoover both of Needville; special “Sister and Brother” cousins Charlene Niemeyer, Jackie Stehle, Jenny Meyer, and Wayne Freudensprung, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
