Annie Lee Poncik

Annie Ludmilla Poncik, 90 passed away February 9, 2020 in Houston. She was born July 25, 1929 in Richmond to Louis and Agnes (Hajdik) Drabek.

Annie was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, KJZT and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pleak Fire Department.

She was a gardener, a quilter, excellent cook and attended all of her grandchildren’s activities. She volunteered to help for many events.

Annie retired as a seamstress from the Richmond State School.

Survivors include 5 children: Judy Hardin and husband David, Brenda Zwahr and husband Calvin, Wanda Poncik and husband Joe Welsh, Donna Brewer and husband Tim, Daryl Poncik and wife Karen. Siblings: Willie Drabek and wife Ella, Jerry Drabek and wife Annie, Sidonia Sliva and husband Gilbert, Agnes Sydow and husband Alton, Alfonce Drabek, sister-in-law, Josephine Kovar. 8 grandchildren: Joey Hardin, Jill Hardin Cantu and husband Juan, Victoria Zwahr, LeeAnn Zwahr, Katelyn Zwahr, Richard Brewer, Jenifer Brewer and Keith Brewer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jody Poncik and her brother, Edmund Drabek.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with burial to follow in West Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery in Rosenberg. Visitation will be Thursday evening, February 13, 2020 from 4-8 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral home with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
