Alfred Joe Mendoza, Jr.

Alfred Joe Mendoza, Jr., fondly known as “Freddie”, passed away on June 21, 2019. He was born on July 10, 1971 in Clovis, New Mexico to Alfred M. Mendoza, Sr. and Bertha Palmarez Mendoza. Freddie was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Through his membership at the church, Freddie was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #13151, was a Catechism Teacher and Usher, an Acts Brother, and Cursillo Member. Freddie was a tender hearted – caring person. He took great pride in taking care of his Grandmother, Monica Palmarez. His hobbies included reading and dancing. Freddie was an avid sports fan, always cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Aggies. This loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle and friend to many will truly be missed.

Freddie is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alfonso Palmarez, and his paternal grandparents, Wilfredo & Eva Mendoza.

Survivors include his parents, Alfred & Bertha Mendoza; sister, Jennifer Trevino and her husband, Alex Jr.; grandmother, Monica Palmarez; nieces & nephews, Arianna, Abbigayle, Alexander and Abraham Trevino; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg.

The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
