Marine audio systems company to build warehouse, offices in Rosenberg

A design/build project by Houston-based KDW, the new Wet Sounds facility will be located on a 27-acre tract at 2975 Louise St.

Rosenberg will be hosting a new facility for a maker of high-performance marine and powersports audio systems next year.

Wet Sounds announced that it has plans to build a new 27-acre area on 2975 Louise St., spanning 118,386 square feet. The new facility, which will house the company’s office space, warehouse and fabrication, is planned to be ready in the spring of 2021.

“Wet Sounds will bring significant capital investment to the tax rolls and create 40 to 50 high-paying jobs,” Rosenberg Mayor Bill Belton said. “It is a first-class company, and we are excited their leadership chose Rosenberg for their headquarters and operations.

“We are honored to have them here in Rosenberg and greatly look forward to working with them.”

According to the company website, Wet Sounds, Inc. is “a manufacturer with the innovation and experience to provide you with the highest performing marine audio ever. We develop proprietary products and technologies that are not found anywhere else in the world. These products offer incredible performance and one of kind aesthetic looks.”

The Rosenberg site also has been master-planned to accommodate a total of 280,000 square feet of future development.

“Wet Sounds is a growth-oriented company that brings highly skilled, good-paying jobs and significant capital investment to Rosenberg as well as a willingness to engage in the community and work cooperatively with regional partners,” Fort Bend County Precinct 1 Commissioner Vincent Morales said.

“Also, this exciting new project expands the commerce core in Rosenberg and encourages additional development. We are thrilled to have Wet Sounds in the region.”

Founded in 2005, Wet Sounds product lines include high-end marine and powersports amps, soundbars and subwoofers. The company also offers a line of audio-powered coolers and accessories.

The company has invested over $10.5 million to build the new facility and adjacent warehouse. Construction is expected to begin in August with an anticipated project completion of spring 2021.

Wet Sounds currently employs 45 warehouse, fabrication office personnel at its southwest Houston location.
