Judge KP George announced today through a partnership with the Sugar Land Skeeters, Fort Bend County Department of Health and Human Services is offering incentives to unvaccinated fans by giving away free game tickets to anyone who receives a COVID-19 vaccine at any of our Fort Bend County area COVID vaccination locations.
Vaccines are free and no appointment is required. People 12 years of age and older are eligible. Those under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian so that they can sign a release. Participants will receive a free ticket (while quantities last) to one of the Skeeters' upcoming games vs. the Tacoma Rainiers (July 12- 13) upon receiving the vaccine at one of four Fort Bend County vaccine sites.

Our HHS Director Dr. Jaquelyn Minter has worked hard on our vaccine efforts and this partnership with the Sugarland Skeeters is an example of her dedication and our efforts to ensure that the people of Fort Bend County are healthy and safe,” said Fort Bend County Judge KP George.
Fort Bend is the first urban county in Texas to fully vaccinate 86% of its population 65 and older, and the first County to have over 95% of its population 65 and older vaccinated with at least one dose.
The data according to the Texas Department of State Health Services’ data dashboard, shows that Fort Bend County leads the State's 81% and 72% vaccination rate in the same categories in comparison to all other large urban jurisdictions in the region and throughout the State of Texas.
Community outreach efforts and partnerships have resulted in 72% of the Fort Bend population 12 and older being vaccinated with at least one dose and 63% fully vaccinated, outpacing the current national vaccine rate in the same categories.
