Fort Bend County and FEMA will have an in-person event to give assistance and help to those who suffered damages from the winter storm from this February.

There will be a FEMA community registration event on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fort Bend County Travis Building, 301 Jackson St. in Richmond.

FEMA will have disaster assistance specialists available two help citizens register for assistance from the winter storms.

Those who suffered damage and want federal assistance will need to bring insurance information, the address of the damaged property, their Social Security number and a phone number where they can be reached.

Disaster funds can also be sent directly to their banking account. For those who want direct deposit, they must provide bank information, such as a bank routing number and personal account number.

Online registration is available at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or those who need reasonable accommodation or assistance filing their FEMA application, please call 1-800-621-3362 or TTY 800-462-7585.
