Lupe Ortega Jr.

Lupe Ortega Jr., 63, decided to hang up his hat Saturday, June 6, 2015.

Lupe was a kind and generous soul, never meeting a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Lupe and Molly Ortega Gutierrez.

He is survived by his children: Misty Gonzales, Honey Ortega, Jim and wife Krystal Ortega; his grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, Anthony, Alexus, Jonathan, and Christopher; great grandchildren, David, Aubrey, and Elijah. He is also survived by his companion, Annette Brieno; brothers, Johnny & Richard; sisters, Stella and Marina; and many relatives and life long friends.

To honor Lupe’s life, funeral arrangements will be held at Earthman Funeral Directors Southwest 12555 South Kirkwood Stafford, TX 77477: visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 11 at 10 AM. He will be laid to rest in the Packer Family Cemetery following funeral service.

Feliciano G. Hernandez Jr.

Born: June 7, 1931 in Iago, TX

Died: June 7, 2015 in Wallis, TX

U.S. Army Veteran, Feliciano G. Hernandez, Jr., husband of the late Alejandra (Melchor) Hernandez, passed away on June 7, 2015.

Feliciano (Blackie) (Teto) (Prieto) Hernandez was a proud Korean War Veteran, who was stationed at Ladd Air Force Base, Fairbanks, Alaska. He enlisted in the Army on March 25, 1953. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

As a forklift driver, he was employed with several foundries in the area including WKM Iron Foundry, in Richmond, TX, Hudson Products in Beasley, TX and the Dr. Pepper Bottling Plant in Wharton, TX. After retiring, he continued to work in the area of Tavener as a trusted ranch hand.

Feliciano and Alejandra were married in East Bernard on December 26, 1964 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. They resided in Wharton and Lissie, TX early on before moving to East Bernard, TX where they settled and raised their five daughters. They celebrated the Sacrament of Matrimony for 49 years. Feliciano was a loving father to his children, and loving husband. His love of country followed him throughout his full life, and was known to have a deep appreciation for reading about current events, heard telling a story, and often seen proudly wearing his Army Veteran cap. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father Feliciano (Sr.), mother Magdalena (Gutierrez), and brother, Natividad Hernandez.

and Daughter Brenda Hernandez, of Wallis, TX who lovingly cared for him in his eldest years.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., followed by a Rosary at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 5610 Demel, Wallis, TX on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be Thursday, June 11, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jonathan Lee Acuna, Alex Acuna, sons-in-law, David Barrientos, Johnny Acuna, Jr., Ruben Alvarado, and nephew Gregory Molina. Honorary Pallbearers, George Molina, Tony Molina, and Ernest Hernandez. Flowers may be sent directly to Guardian Angel Catholic Church.

Funeral services for Rockie Uvalle Sr., 37, of Rosenberg will be held Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home with interment following at West Gethsemane Cemetery in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home.

Rockie was born on April 27, 1978 in Galveston, Texas and was called home on Saturday, June 6, 2015.

Rockie was very kind, loving, and dedicated Father, Son, Brother, Friend and family member to all he encountered in life. He lived life joyously, and always kept a smile on his face. Forever seeing the best of any person and all situations.

He was adored and loved by many and although we will always miss him, and along for his love to return, we know another one of our True Soldiers, Is Headed to The Sky.

Rockie is preceded in death by his sister, Amber Cruz; Grandmother, Mary H. Mottu; and Brother, Amos Angel Uvalle.

He is survived by his mother, Aurora C. Uvalle; Step-father, Benny Gutierrez; Father, Rickie Uvalle Sr.; Step-mother, Mary Uvalle; children, Isaiah Uvalle, Sierra Uvalle, Rockie Uvalle Jr., Niko Amos Uvalle, and special young lady, Serenity Jowers; Four Brothers, Rickie Uvalle Jr. and wife Amanda; Constancio Gutierrez and wife Yesenia, Elijah Uvalle, Samuel Uvalle; Sisters, Shardae Cruz, Jessica Rodriguez, Crystal Uvalle, Nicole Uvalle. A very special Tia, Mary Jackson; Uncles, Tony Mottu Sr. and wife Sarah, Pilar Mottu Jr. and wife Aurora, Jesse Cano Sr. and family.

He also leaves behind dozens of cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of living friends!
