The Literacy Council of Fort Bend County kicks off their virtual “A Call to Auction: A Celebration of Literacy” on Monday, May 17 at 9 a.m. This year’s virtual auction is co-chaired by Helen Bow, Camille Brewer, and Fallon Moody and will run continuously with auction items available for bid throughout the week until closing on Saturday, May 22nd at 9:00 pm.

Exclusive items up for bid include several travel packages including a St. Augustine Florida Vacation package with a beach-front condo stay, Texas Stay-cation package to several San Antonio area attractions, L ’Auberge & Delta Downs Casino Resort package, Pleasant Hill Winery Private Party package, Texas Ranch Party package for 25 guests, and much more! Items will be open for bid on Monday, May 17th at 9:00 am with “Buy It Now” options available.

Proceeds will help support the mission of the Literacy Council of Fort Bend County to improve family, community, and professional lives through adult literacy education.

The Literacy Council provides several programs for its students including Introduction to Literacy 101, English as a Second Language program, High School Equivalency program for exam preparation, U.S. Citizenship Preparation, and Computer Skills.
