NEEDVILLE — The Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to a brush fire in the Needville area earlier this month. More than 250 round bales of hay caught fire. Firefighters found it difficult to gain access to fire and water source.The hay continued to burn until heavy equipment was brought in to assist with overhaul and extinguishment. Fire departments who responded include Pleak, Stafford, Boling, Rosenberg, Beasley, Pecan Grove and Fairchilds. The Fort Bend County Road & Bridge also offered assistance.
