Area fire departments responded to a structure fire near the intersection of Williams Way Boulevard and FM 762 early Monday morning.

Authorities said a vacant building was fully ungulfed. No injuries were reported.

Responding to the blaze were firefighters from Richmond, Rosenberg, Sugar Land, Pleak, Fairchild and the Fort Bend County EMS, Fort Bend County sheriff’s deputies and, Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office. Pecan Grove Fire Department also played a role.

Multiple tankers were used due to the lack of fire hydrants in the area, authorities reported. The fire slowed traffic in the area.
