Another 20 residents of Fort Bend County have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number to 437, health authorities reported Thursday.

A total of 32 victims have fully recovered and seven have died. Almost 600 people have been tested at the county test site. Just over 50 victims required hospitalization and almost 350 are recuperating at home. Most people only experience mild symptoms.

Women are more likely to catch the virus than men, according to county officials. The virus is affecting people from 18-70 years or more equally and is found countywide, according to officials.

The county’s population is estimated at around 880,000.
