Yoga with Ashley

Yoga with Ashley is planned for July 9 at George Memorial Library.

Fort Bend County Libraries’ George Memorial Library, 1001 Golfview in Richmond, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, and School-Age Programs — every month. These programs are free and open to the public.

The special summer schedule for July is as follows:

Toddler Time — Thursdays at 10 a.m. — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age.

Program dates are July 11, 18, 25; the library will be closed on July 4.

Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10 a.m. each Wednesday, in the Meeting Room.

Program dates are July 3, 10, 17, 24; this activity will not take place on July 31.

Pajama Night Story Time — which takes place every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. — gives families an evening option for some activities presented during the day time.

Program dates are July 11, 18, 25; the library will be closed on July 4.

Family Story Time takes place every Saturday at 10 a.m., in the Meeting Room.

Families with children of all ages are invited to come and enjoy stories, movies, and crafts together. Program dates are July 6, 13, 20, and 27. (Note: Professor Hughdini will perform his magical “Show to Wonders” on July 13.)

The School-Age Programs — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in grades K through 3 — takes place every Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m., in the Meeting Room.

The July schedule is as follows:

July 2 – Family Movie

July 9 – Yoga with Ashley

July 16 – Craft Carnival

July 23 – Helping Hounds: Dogs at Work (presented by HMNS Sugar Land)

July 30 – No program

The Middle-School Programs, which are designed for youth in grades 6 through 8, take place on Thursdays, beginning at 2 p.m., in the Meeting Room.

The July schedule is as follows:

July 4 – Library closed

July 11 – No-Bake Desserts

July 18 – Craft Tournament

July 25 – Pizza Party

Middle School Computer Classes – Wednesdays, beginning at 2 p.m., in the Computer Lab, for students in grades 6 through 8.
