Live music by talented local musicians will be featured at Fort Bend County Libraries’ “WinterFest,” which will take place at George Memorial Library on Saturday, December 7, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 1001 Golfview in Richmond.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays with refreshments and festive holiday music performed by the Second Street Brass Ensemble during this fun open-house event. The performance will begin at 11:00 am.

Special winter-themed craft activities will be set up for children in the Youth Services department.

Formed in 2013, the group has been performing in the Rosenberg area at fundraising events, private parties, and for CAST Theatrical Company for several years. All five musicians are members of the Rosenberg Symphonic Band.

Made possible by the Friends of the George Memorial Library, the event is free and open to the public. For more information, see the Fort Bend County Libraries website (, or call George Memorial Library (281-342-4455) or the library system’s Communications Office (281-633-4734).
