Sevy graduates from Terry High

Paige Sevy, daughter of Pleak Fire Dept volunteer Sean Sevy and wife Jo Anna Sevy, and niece to Joel Gonzales, graduated from Terry High School this past weekend. She is headed to HCU.

The Village of Pleak Planning and Zoning Commission will hold their meeting 7 p.m. June 5, 2019. The Pleak City Hall is located at 6621 FM 2218 and FM 2218 near the intersection of FM 2218 and Highway 36 South. Meetings are always open to the public.

Heart felt prayers goes out to one of Pleak Fire Departments and Needville Fire Departments duty crew David Luedeke in the passing of his mother, Winona Schroeder Luedeke.

According to NFD, Mrs. Luedeke was a big part of their ladies auxiliary for many years and will be missed dearly.

Please keep the Luedeke family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of need.

Big congratulations to Paige Sevy.

Good luck Paige. Picture below are Paige and her parents: Jo Anna Sevy, Paige Sevy and Sean Sevy.

I hope that everyone has been watching the new and keeping up with the weather.

We will be under a flash flood beginning Wednesday morning through early Thursday morning. Heavy tropical showers will be off and on.

The rain will be distributed unevenly, so some areas will end up with less than 2”, most between 2-4”, and others nearly 10”.

Creek flooding will be possible where those isolated 10” amounts fall, but street flooding is more likely elsewhere. Lets hope we do not have a repeat of several weeks ago.

Do we have any high school students with babysitting and CPR experience?

I would love to add this section to the paper so they can earn some monies this summer. Send me an email and I will post weekly.
