Maj. Chad Norvell

Major Chad Norvell of the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office announced he will seek the position of Fort Bend County Precinct 3 Constable.

Precinct 3 includes Fulshear and the Pecan Grove area.

Norvell will face fellow deputy Jesse Zamaripa in the Republican primary election, set for March 3.

The winner will face Democrat Mo Nehad or Harris County deputy constable Patrick Quincy in the November general election.

Norvell has 26 years law enforcement experience and currently oversees patrol, criminal investigations, media relations and the social media program for Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who has a bachelor’s of science degree in organizational leadership from Mountain State University and is a graduate of the Police Staff and Command College at Northwestern University.

Norvell is a 27-year resident of the Katy area and he and his wife, Amy along with sons Brandon and Cody reside in Firethorne subdivision.
