Fort Bend County Libraries will feature a free “Summer Family Movie Series” at the Albert George Branch Library beginning in July.

A variety of fun, family movies will be shown on Mondays, starting at 2 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 9230 Gene Street in Needville.

On Monday, July 15, watch an animated comedy-adventure movie, starring the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith, about a group of New York City zoo animals.

In this 2008 sequel, the airplane carrying the citified critter castaways crash-lands in the wilds of Africa, where the animals meet others of their own kind in their natural element.

This movie is rated PG.

The movie on Monday, July 22, is an animated family film released in 2018.

The legend of Bigfoot is turned upside down when a bright young Yeti finds something he thought didn’t exist — a human.

The Yeti community is in an uproar over what else might be out there in the world beyond their snowy village.

This movie is rated PG.

The movies are free and open to the public.

Refreshments are provided courtesy of the Friends of the Albert George Branch Library.

The libraries’ licensing agreement for public showing of films prohibits them from releasing the name of the movie outside of the library.
