Based at Windsor Castle, the vocalists of the Queen’s Six are also members of St George's Chapel Choir that performs weekly and sings at private and state occasions, often before the Royal Family. The Queen’s Six repertoire extends from austere early chant, florid Renaissance polyphony, lewd madrigals and haunting folk songs to upbeat Jazz and Pop arrangements. For the first time ever, this outstanding a capella group brings their unique style of entertainment to Texas in the Friends of Chamber Music series.  Preview them on YouTube then come see them live.  Free, courtesy of the Thyra Plass Foundation.

“Refreshingly different . . . An intimacy born of long acquaintance with one another’s voices, and countless man-hours spent singing together...” BBC Music Magazine
