Moda Boutique is a place where fashion meets faith.
And that’s exactly what business owner Doralisia Frias wanted.
The boutique, located at 15221 SH 36 in Needville, is for every woman.
“We are a family owned business,” Frias said.
“I’ve got three daughters that help run and purchase for our shop, so we have an aesthetic of a wide range of styles since I buy for the mature women (and) they buy for the younger crowd.
“But overall, it’s a take the fuss out of your wardrobe with easy to pair pieces.”
Frias works alongside her daughters, who are buyer employees, Sofia Olmeda, Senyda Rubalcaba, Stephany Hansen, and sons Luis Alberto Frias and Isaias Frias.
She added that her husband Sergio acts as her handyman and biggest supporter.
“I try to stay involved in our community and give when I can,” she said.
“As I know what it’s like to live in lack, I grew up traveling with my family following the crops that were in season. As migrant workers, we worked together as a family.
“I always loved apparel and having cute costume jewelry. I saw my mom wearing this beautiful costume jewelry necklace that she treasured since she didn’t have many and I’d often take it out of her drawer when she wasn’t looking and put it on. I thought I looked like a princess.
“I knew I wanted to do something in that area. When I grew up, life got in the way and I didn’t start my boutique until my mid 50’s, but it’s never to late to start.”
Frias said she attributes much of her success to her favorite Bible verse, 2 Peter 3:8, which reads: “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”
Frias wants women to know that they should never stop dreaming.
“Beloved do not forget this one thing ,that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day,” she recited.
